1.) ALR ATM - Air Traffic Management

Air Traffic Management has become a crucial issue worldwide and especially in Europe, where the current airspace and airports capacity hardly meets the demand.
Identifying bottlenecks, defining and implementing appropriate solutions in line with ICAO and Eurocontrol standards and with customers requirements, ensuring compatibiliy with the future strategies and programmes (SESAR) are the core competences of ALR ATM.

A team of experienced managers and specialists of the ATM and AIM (Aeronautical Information Management) domains is ready to assist your organisation in the following areas:

• ATFCM Air Traffic Capacity and Flow Management, in other words optimising the capacity offered with regard to resources and demand

2.) Support and Advice re. Airline Industry

Support and advice re. all operational-technical, maintenance, financial, evironmental and aeropolitical aspects;

e.g. fleetdevelopment, strategy & network, asset management, A/C lease, consulting re. contracts, warranties, guarantees & compliance, A/C introduction, specification & configuration controlling, policies & standards, operational procedures, infrastructure, design review, maintenance & overhaul concepts etc.

3.) Project Management, support and advice in the area of Operations Research & Computer Science / IT and strategic projects

e.g. combinatorial optimization, mathematical methods & statistics, simulations, financial modelling, flightplanning etc.

Support and advise re. effective, quantifiable & sustainable fuel conservation opportunities through elaborated operational & technical measures, A/C performance, fuel consumption and monitoring analysis. The primary goal is to reduce fuel consumption & cost without compromising safety, community noise & emissions and optimize the operational weight of the aeroplane.

Project Management, support and advice re. Aircraft Data Acquisition System (ADAS) & Event Measurement System (EMS) opportunities in the areas of Aircraft & operational efficiency, systems performance, fuel consumption & engine emissions, malfunctions & monitoring, statistical analysis, financial performance indicators, communications & navigation etc.

4.) Analysis of Aircraft Projects

The members experiences in aircraft and system developments enables ALR to compose an appropriate team of specialists to assess an aircraft development project in all phases – from initial concept studies and marketing analysis over conceptual design, full scale development and flight testing to service introduction and operations. Tools such as the ALR-owned and -distributed APP ™ Aircraft Performance Program will support that action (See Business Area ALR APP).

5.) Evaluation of Aircraft / Comparative Analysis

ALR members experience in combination with appropriate tools and the unique ALR database enable to make sound evaluation of civil and military aircraft e.g. prior to acquisition and to make comparisons between different aircraft types. The main tool to support that activity is the APP™ Aircraft Performance Program (See Business Area ALR APP).
